Containers add another dimension to a landscape. Even if you have plenty of ground space for planting and in some places where the ground just won’t do, containers alone can make planting possible. Even gardeners who do have ample space are not always blessed with perfect growing conditions. On some properties, the sun might not shine on plantable areas, but blazes down, instead, on driveways, decks, and other service areas. With container gardening, it’s possible to take the plants to the sun. Modifying containers, or their placement, throughout the year can heighten seasonal interest.
